The Knife

Inspired by the Japanese Rising Sun, this knife not only offers excellent ergonomics but dramatic artistic styling. The extreme inverted curve in the spine of the knife offers extra forward weight, while still keeping a neutral bias, but also an excellent platform for your non-dominant hand to be able to push down on the blade. This makes gives you excellent control while feathering wood, or pushing through something where a little extra grip is needed.

The thinner 1/8” thick steel reduces weight, but the Scandi Grind ensures the legendary Scav Eng robustness and the easiest sharpening. This blade is taken to a steeper angle than the rest of our blades, making it’s edge retention and sharpness even higher than normal. The blade styling is hand drawn and etched into the steel, giving it a special touch. The handle scales are made from a hand picked piece of Purple Heart wood for extra uniqueness. Lanyard loop for extra security hold with a stylized pommel. Made to be heavy duty, ready for your abuse, and delivered hair shaving sharp.

The Sheath

Check out the video on this style of our sheath HERE! A hand formed, Kydex sheath that offers excellent custom knife retention. The exclusive Scav Eng invented sheath design offers horizontal carry for quick on and off, while still providing excellent retention to your blade. The sheath is easily switched for left or right hand pull or behind the back carry by simply removing the screws holding the clip in place and flip to the other side. The clip is also split for quick attachment to MOLLE/PALs webbing. This gives you the option to keep it on your belt, your pack, or your full battle rattle plate carrier. The Japanese styling is extended to this custom carry clip to finish off the theme. Comes set up for front horizontal carry for right handers as picture, which is the same as Left hand Scout’s Carry.
